Marjorie Allegra Miller was born on April 29,1942 in Mullen, NE to Percy and Vivian Miller. She was raised on a ranch in the sandhills of Cherry County 16 miles north of Seneca next to Swan Lake. She graduated from Mullen High School in 1960 and then attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. While at UNL, she joined the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She also met her husband, Joe. She graduated in 1964 with a degree in Home Economics and taught school for a short time in Madison, NE.

Joe and Marjorie were married on July 26, 1964 and moved to Lawton, OK. She was employed by the Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company and worked with the Cherokee Indian Reservation, as well as other customers, teaching them how to use gas appliances. Joe and Marjorie moved back to Lincoln, NE in 1966 and she worked as a Home Service Representative with the local natural gas company. She left the workforce in 1967 upon the birth of their first son Jon, followed by Rob (1970) and Marc (1973). In 1979 they moved to Hastings, NE and Marjorie kept busy with all her sons' activities including cub scouts, soccer, baseball, basketball, music lessons, and teaching kids to water ski at Lake Hastings. In 1983 they moved to Minden, NE to take over the family farm and she served as the Food Supervisor for the Minden Hospital until she retired in 1999.

Marjorie loved growing up in the sandhills and had many fond memories of the ranch. She cherished time with her family and friends, especially playing board games and Old Maid with her grandchildren. She enjoyed water skiing (never got her hair wet!) and card games, especially bridge. Marjorie was highly competitive about cards and never wanted to lose to Joe. She will be most missed for her baking that included her annual gingerbread houses, ice cream pumpkin pies, and cream puffs.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Vivian Miller, and her grandchildren, Jake and Hannah Hultquist. She is survived by her husband Joe Hultquist; sons Jon (Beth) Hultquist of Fort Worth, TX; Rob (Jenny) Hultquist of Heartwell, NE; and Dr. Marc (Crystal) Hultquist of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren Matt Hultquist of Idaho Falls, ID; Emma Hultquist of Fort Worth, TX; Drew (Katie) Hultquist of Morrill, NE, Nathan Hultquist of Heartwell, NE; Sarah Hultquist of Heartwell, NE; Megan (Wes) Donhauser of Dallas, TX; Kate Hultquist of Grand Rapids, MI; Abby Hultquist of Newberg, OR; and Seth Hultquist of Huntsville, AL; great granddaughter Kendal Hultquist of Morrill, NE; brother Bob (Linda) Miller of Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law Jack Hultquist of Minden, NE; as well as extended relatives and close friends.
