Ronny "Jake" Jacobsen, 63 years of age from Minden, Nebraska died on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Bethany Home in Minden. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Minden with Rev. Dr. James Gordon officiating. Visitation will be at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m.

Jake was born on October 9, 1952 in Minden, NE to Clifford and Yetive (Whipple) Jacobsen. He grew up in the Norman-Heartwell area and graduated from Minden High School in 1970.

Jake worked for the Kearney County Roads Dept., Eaton's in Kearney, Bill's Plumbing in Minden and then worked in maintenance at Bethany Home in Minden. Jake loved his job at Bethany and enjoyed visiting with the residents and staff. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Huskers and traveling. Memorials are suggested to the family in Jake's name.

Survivors include two sisters, Lavon Madsen of Minden and Nadine Westwood of Lincoln; brother, Gayle Jacobsen and wife, Patty of Broken Arrow, OK; sister in-law, Janice Jacobsen of Arvada, CO and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary, two brothers in-law, Merlin Madsen and Tom Westwood and nephew, Perry Madsen.
