Glenn Louis Frecks was born on June 17, 1936 in Hildreth, NE to John and Helene (Johnson) Frecks. He grew up in the Franklin area and attended school at Franklin High School, graduating with the class of 1954. He entered the Air National Guard where he faithfully served from 1958 to 1964.

He was united in marriage to Karol K. Beaird on October 7, 1962 in Axtell and to this union three children were born: Kamala Kay, Tracy Lea, and LaMonte Allen. The family made their home in Minden where he was employed by Stadler Feed Co., later moving to Axtell, when he served as Pastor at the Bertrand Evangelical Free Lutheran Church. Glenn was a people person; he never met a stranger. He was a very faithful, patient, and hardworking man.

Glenn was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden and Bertrand Evangelical Free Lutheran. He enjoyed old tractors, collecting die-cast toys, playing cards, and was an avid reader. Glenn loved listening to gospel music, especially quartets.
