MARIETTA, Ga. — Peggy L. Wilbeck, 67, of Minden, Neb., died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Tranquility Hospice Center in Marietta.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. July 7 at the Evangelical Free Church in Minden.

She died with family by her side after a long, five-year battle against cancer.
Peg was born on Oct. 9, 1948, in Hastings, Neb., to Mervin and Verla Branting. She attended grade school in Bruning, Neb., and graduated from York, Neb., in 1966.
She attended beauty school in Grand Island, Neb. She was a cosmetologist for 32 years and owned salons in Kearney, Neb., including Ultimate Look Salon, for many years. After retiring from cosmetology, she worked at Hinder Long Nursing Center in Minden where she served as assistant activities director. She had a love for helping older people.
Peg had a love for family and friends. She loved to tell jokes and make others laugh, and she will be missed by many.
She married Douglas Wilbeck in Minden on Aug. 8, 1998.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Doug Wilbeck of Minden; two sons, Roger and wife Lisa Hoffman of Lincoln, Neb., and Travis and wife Stephanie Hoffman of Hill Air Force Base, Utah; one daughter, Heidi Taylor of Acworth; two stepsons, Jon and wife Carole Wilbeck of Lincoln and Christian and wife Julie Wilbeck of Hickman, Neb.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Schiel of Denver; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Gary and wife Zola Branting of Elm Creek, Neb.; and sister, Donna and husband Gary Stubbendeck of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
