Audrey Annette (Johnson) Christensen of Minden, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the age of 83, at Bethany Home. Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden with PMA Julie Schmidt officiating. Private family inurnment will be held prior to services at the Minden Cemetery. Memorials in Audrey's honor are kindly suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Aubrey Annette (Johnson) Christensen was born on September 29, 1942, the fifth child of Frank and Oveline (Roy) Johnson. Audrey graduated from Campbell High School in 1960.

On November 19, 1961, Audrey married Robert Christensen at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Minden throughout their married life. Audrey was a devoted partner to Robert, often serving as his helpful "gopher" on the farm. She was an accomplished cook who prepared countless meals for family, farmhands, and hired help.

Audrey cherished her family and home above all. She took great pride in her flower gardens and vegetable patch, and she was an avid quilter who loved designing patterns and "putting the puzzle together." She also enjoyed antiquing with Robert-for many years they maintained a booth at Granny's Attic in Minden -and collecting cookie jars and decorative hot pad dresses.

She was a faithful and active member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church, where Audrey served on the Deacon's Commission. She was involved in numerous community organizations, including the Garden Club, Extension Club, Red Hats, and Common Threads Quilting Club. She was a dedicated 4-H leader, sewed items for Babies in Need, and supported the Red Cross Blood Drive.

Audrey took special joy in attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, 4-H activities, and other milestones.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Christensen; three children, Kelly Trausch (Gene) of Minden, Kathy Lippert (Tom) of Chardon, Ohio, and Kent Christensen of Minden; six grandchildren, Molly Trausch of Des Moines, Iowa, Peter Trausch (Missy) of Minden, Dallis Christensen (Elly) of Syracuse, Nebraska, Dakota Christensen (Ashley) of Roca, Nebraska, Nick Lippert of Cleveland, Ohio, and Maddie Lippert of San Diego, California; four great-grandchildren, Mayley Christensen (daughter of Dallis and Elly) and Evan Christensen (son of Dakota and Ashley) and Emma and Charlie Trausch (children of Peter and Missy); brother Dale Johnson; brother-in-law John Schell, and sisters-in-law Lyra Johnson, Ardyce Johnson, and Sandy Johnson.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Oveline Johnson; brothers Haldine Johnson and Don Johnson; sisters Marjorie Osler and Janice Schell; and brother-in-law Rodney Osler.
