Carol J. Wright, 89, of Minden, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Bryan Health in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Minden United Methodist Church with Rev. Shannon Rhodes officiating. Private family interment will be held prior to the service. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Memorials in Carol's honor are kindly suggested to the family for later designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Carol Janice Wright was born on August 17, 1934 in Minden to Lester P. and Ruby G. (Hendericks) Nelson. She grew up in the Minden area, graduating from Minden High School in 1952.

She was united in marriage to Ross E. Wright on December 19, 1954 in Minden, and to this union three sons were born: Gregory, Perry, and Michael. The family made their home in Holdrege, Columbus, and Grand Island, before returning to Minden in 1981. Carol was a homemaker until the boys were grown and she went to work for social services before her retirement.

Carol was a member of Minden United Methodist Church. She loved playing bridge, interior decorating, and planning family get togethers. She was wonderful at taking care of others and loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Gregory of Minden, Perry and wife, Sonya, of Pendergrass, Georgia, and Michael and wife, Cassandra, of Minden; four grandsons, one granddaughter; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ross E. Wright in 2019; and sister, Jackie Meester.
