Connie Clinkenbeard, 69 years of age from Minden, NE passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at CHI-Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden at 11:00 a.m. with Father James Benton officiating. Burial will be later in Alliance, Nebraska. There is no visitation.

Connie was born on April 4, 1947 in Alliance, NE to Leo and Eunice (McClure) Dillon. She grew up in the Alliance area and graduated from Alliance High School. Connie moved to Grand Island; she later moved to Hastings where she worked as a secretary for KHAS Radio. She later moved to Minden and worked at Wal-Mart in Kearney; first in the cash office and then in their pharmacy. She retired in 2014 after working for Wal-Mart for 18 years. Connie was a well-liked lady wherever she would go, always willing to lend an ear and willing to do anything to help someone out. She also loved children and her dog, Cherub.

Survivors include her brother, Terry Dillon and many, many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
