Cindy was born March 10, 1949 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Loyd and Nellie (Jackson) Johnson. She attended elementary school at the rural school north of Ainsworth and then graduated from Ainsworth High School in the class of 1967. After high school, Cindy graduated from beautician school in Kearney and began working thereafter.

While in Kearney, she met and became engaged to Jerry Quadhamer. She married Jerry on March 15, 1970 and they started a home in Hildreth with both of them working on the farm. To this union two sons were born, Brad and Terry. As the boys got older, Cindy began working outside the farm and home. She worked at the Franklin hospital satellite medical clinic in Hildreth and later at the GTA insurance office. While there she got her insurance license (something she was quite proud of). Cindy worked primarily with crop insurance and enjoyed the farm customers.

Cindy was very talented and had many hobbies. She took pride in decorating birthday cakes for many of her sons, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was a skilled woodworker; creating countless projects and also canvas art paintings of the scenic countryside. She loved tending to her garden and always had beautiful plants and flowers in and outside the home.

Cindy's faith was strong and she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on various committees. She was active in Bible study and Choir and was a caretaker of the plants and flowers at the church building. Other hobbies she enjoyed were playing cards, library groups, and attending/streaming her grandchildren's school events.

Left to mourn her death is her husband Jerry of 51 years; sons, Brad and wife Andrea of Hildreth, and Terry and wife Allison of West Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Abby, Brooke, Tramel and Jaivion; mother, Nellie Johnson; sister, Beverly and husband Dean Painter; brother, Mike and wife Wanda Johnson, all of Ainsworth, NE; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
