David Dewainne Hall was born on August 4, 1959, in Franklin to Donald D. and Maxine E. (Kile) Hall. He attended Campbell Public School, graduating with the class of 1977. During high school, Dave began working for the family business, Hall's Oil Inc.
He was united in marriage to Jacqueline "Jackie" Meyer on January 12, 1980, in Campbell, and to this union two daughters were born: Amanda and Melissa. The family made their home in Campbell, where he continued in the successful family business for many years until selling in April of 2022, when he retired.
He was instrumental in forming the Mid-Rivers 911, and a lifelong member of the Campbell Volunteer Fire and Rescue, as well as the EMT squad. Dave loved spending time with his grandkids, whether it was a sporting event or activity, late night movies and ice cream, harvesting pumpkins from Grandpa's Pumpkin Patch, or having fun at the lake. He enjoyed spending time at Harlan County Lake where he loved having everyone over at his campfire into the early morning hours. Dave's other hobbies included fishing, hunting, and tending to his horses. Dave could fix anything and would spend time tinkering with anything mechanical. He always wanted to help out…even if you did not really want help.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jackie of Campbell; daughters, Amanda (BJ) Warburton of Minden, and Melissa (Zach) Parr of Roseland; grandchildren, Ella Warburton, Cayden Warburton, Maverick Parr, and Peyton Parr; brother, Doug Hall; sister, Donnetta (Doug) Staples; sisters -in-law, Judy (Mike) Erickson, Joyce (Pete) Soucek, and Janet (Jim) Karr; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.
