Donald James Fisher, 70, of Minden, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at his home in Minden. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Merna Cemetery, near Merna NE, with Pastor Ken Pitkin officiating. There will be no visitation as the family has honored Don's wish for cremation. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Craig Funeral Home in Minden is assisting the family.

Don was born on September 21, 1953 in Broken Bow, NE to Iona M. (Parkhurst) and Woodrow W. Fisher. He grew up in the Mason City and Broken Bow area and attended school in Broken Bow. Don was blessed with four children: Amanda Oswood, Ryan Fisher, Austin Fisher and Kasha Wilkie. The family made their home in Broken Bow where Don was employed by the Sargent Pipe Company. He also lived in Rock Springs, WY.

Don enjoyed fishing, family get-togethers and watching the Huskers play football.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ryan Fisher of Kearney, Amanda Oswood of Rock Springs, WY, and Kasha Wilkie of Omaha; mother, Iona Fisher of Callaway; brother, William W. Fisher of Minden; sister, Fran "Kay" Guerro of Minden; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow W. Fisher, and son, Austin Fisher.
