Eric Thomas Overleese was born on March 19, 1988, in Minden to Tom and Debby (Conyers) Overleese. He grew up in Minden, attending Minden Public Schools and graduating with the class of 2006. Eric continued his education at Central Community College in Columbus, where he studied art.

He lived in Minden, Columbus, O’Neil, Lincoln, Silver Creek and Republican City. Eric worked for BD in Columbus for 11 years, as well as Super 8 and Menards in Columbus and Super 8 in O’Neil. Most recently he was employed at Fill-in-Chill in Minden.

Eric enjoyed fishing and paintball, he also found excitement in doing tricks while skateboarding and biking, often scaring his parents, and stumbling onto a neighborhood garage sale and bringing home his random treasures. He loved smoking and grilling meats, going to concerts, and gardening. His favorite holiday was Halloween and participating in all of the festivities. He was a talented artist who loved freehand drawing and pottery, and his creativity was a meaningful part of who he was. A self-taught guitarist as music played an important role in his life, and he spent hours as a teenager cruising the pavement with music blaring. He enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. Eric will be remembered for his kind heart, not knowing a stranger, his artistic talent, adventurous spirit, and the distinct way he loved his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Debby Overleese of Minden and Tom Overleese of Republican City; sister, Sheana “Turbo” Overleese of Minden; step-sisters, Samantha (Jacob) Bradley and Natalie (Darren) Hein; step-brother, James (Hannah) Sindelar; aunts and uncles, Donna (Don) Preisendorf, Diane (Roger) Bohl, Nancy Keup, Dave (Melissa) Conyers, Dottie Buck, Pat (Fernando) Reyes, Roger (Ann) Overleese, and Mike Overleese (special friend Carol); as well as a host of cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane and Mary Jane Conyers, and Robert and Darlene Overleese; stepmother, Lisa Overleese; and uncles, Al Keup and Terry Buck.
