Forrestine "Fort" W. Mildfeldt, 78, of Minden passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his home in Minden. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev. Duane Duley officiating. Interment will be held following services at the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. The family requests those in attendance wear casual attire. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of the arrangements.

Forrestine Willis Mildfeldt was born on May 25, 1943 in Dodge City, Kansas to William G. and Margarette M. (Harrison) Mildfeldt. He grew up and attended school in Clay Center, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Bonnie K. Renken on November 25, 1961 on Ottawa, Kansas and to this union, two children were born: Andrea Lynn and Kevin Ray. The family made their home in Minden where Fort was employed by Anderson Construction and Dobson Brothers Construction for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden. Fort enjoyed following NASCAR and Sprint Car racing, as well as watching Monday Night Raw. He enjoyed coloring and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He also liked going for drives around Minden and traveling to his granddaughter's softball games.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bonnie of Minden; son, Kevin and wife Shani Mildfeldt of Central City, NE; daughter, Andrea and husband, James Morris of Minden; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Cellestine, Mae Ann, Kenney, and Ernie; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and mother-in-law, Elsie Effenbeck.
