John "Roger" Kuehn, 89, of Minden, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Bethany Home in Minden. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden with Rev. William Zwick officiating. Inurnment will be held following the service at the Minden Cemetery with military honors presented by the Minden American Legion and the Heartwell Veterans of Foreign Wars. There will be no visitation or book signing. Memorials in Roger's honor are kindly suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

John "Roger" Kuehn was born on March 27, 1935 in Minden to Gustav E. and Florence M. (Merklein) Kuehn. He grew up in the Heartwell area and attended school at Minden High School, graduating with the class of 1952. Roger faithfully served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960.

He was united in marriage to Eldean C. Kauffelt on June 17, 1962 in Minden. The couple made their home near Minden, where Roger farmed for many years prior to his retirement.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Elvera "Alfie" Moore and husband, Lanny of North Platte; sister-in-law, Janice Love of New York; family friends, Kevin and Terese Smith; as well as nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eldean; his parents; and sister, Dorothy Latter.
