Joyce M. Jameson, 92, of Kearney formerly of Minden, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Kearney Regional Medical Center – Bryan Health. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Minden United Methodist Church with Rev. Peter Choi officiating. The service will be streamed to the church's Facebook and YouTube pages. Private family interment will be held at the Minden Cemetery prior to services. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Memorials in Joyce's honor are kindly suggested to the Minden United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.
Joyce Maurine (Laue) Jameson was born on July 1, 1931 in Newark, Nebraska to Samuel and Louise (Nickel) Laue. She grew up in the Newark area and attended school at Ft. Kearny District #18 and later graduated from Kearney Senior High School.
She was united in marriage to Rhodell C. Jameson on April 12, 1953 in Kearney and to this union, four children were born: Michael Rhodell, Timothy Keith, Sherilyn Sue, and David Kim. The family made their home in Minden where she was employed by the Nye Law Office, Warp Publishing, Dot's Fabric and Russell's Clothing.
Joyce was a member of the Minden United Methodist Church, enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, spending time with her family, quilting, square dancing, round dancing, and yard work.
Those left to cherish her memory include her; children, Michael "Mick" and wife, Val, Jameson of Minden; Sherilyn "Sheri" and husband, Steve, Rasmussen of Omaha; David and wife, Allyson, Jameson of Minden; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sisters-in-law, Alice Laue and Sandra Johnson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rhodell Jameson; son, Timothy Keith Jameson; grandchildren, Melinda (Rasmussen) Bunger, and Easton Riley Barber; brothers, Bernard Laue, Emil Laue, and Leo Laue; sisters, Evelyn Olson, Doris Jorgensen, and Eleanor Lange.
