LeRoy William Erpelding, age 84, of Minden, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with Fr. Evan Winter officiating. Visitation with family present will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home in Minden, NE with a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at the Minden Cemetery. Memorials in LeRoy's honor are kindly suggested to the family to be distributed to organizations focused on brain disease research. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

LeRoy William Erpelding was born on October 8, 1941, in Kearney, NE to Frederick and Marguerite (Hultman) Erpelding. He married Lois Siebke on August 18, 1962, in Kearney and to this union three children were born: Kristi, Sally and Doug. The family made their home in Minden, NE where LeRoy was a science teacher at Minden Public Schools until 1982, then changed careers to the Insurance industry. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Minden City Council, Optimist Club and Minden Volunteer Fire Department.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Lois Erpelding of Minden, Kristi (Leon) Cook of Cross Plains TN, Sally (Tom) Beutler of Norfolk NE and Doug (Nikki) Erpelding of Parker CO; grandchildren: Tyler (Jeanie) Cook of Herrin IL, Haley (Austin Elsbury) Cook of Indianapolis IN, Logan (Susan Spence) Beutler of Lexington KY, Andrew Beutler of Cambridge MA, Lauren Beutler of Lincoln NE, Trevor Erpelding of Fort Collins CO, Ryan Erpelding of Fort Collins CO; great-grandson Leo Cook of Herrin IL; sisters-in-law, Marge Jelden and Lori Erpelding of Kearney; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Garry, Jim and Eugene.
