Lois Keith (Thayer) was born November 29, 1927, to Ada Lois (Early) Thayer and Ernest F. Thayer in Douglas County, Illinois. She went to her eternal rest on June 24, 2026, at 98 years old.

Lois attended St. Luke's College of Nursing in Chicago graduating in 1947. Following graduation, she married Joseph W. Keith. To this marriage were born three daughters, Leslie, Vicki, and DeAnn.

Lois had a long career in nursing. She worked as an RN primarily in obstetrics in Illinois and Colorado. She took great joy in her family, her church, the mountains, and watching the Colorado sports teams: Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and Denver Nuggets.

She is survived by her three daughters; grandchildren, Chris, Lexi (Hayden), and Austin (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Mikayla (Derek), Kaitlyn (Bailey), Carter, and Ellis; great-greatgrandchildren, Livian and Jayce.

Lois was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Keith, her parents, three older brothers, Earl, Roy, Frank and many extended family members.

She has chosen cremation which has been conducted. Private family inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make a remembrance donation to the charity of your choice.
