Lyle J. Coglianese, 76, of Minden, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his home in Minden. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Craig Funeral Home in Minden with PMA Julie Schmidt officiating. Inurnment with military honors will be held following the service at the Minden Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials in Lyle's honor are kindly suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Lyle James Coglianese was born on December 12, 1948, in Oak Park, IL to Michael and Margaret (Knipper) Coglianese. He grew up in Oak Park until the age of nine, when the family relocated to Arizona. He attended school there where he graduated from Alhambra High School in Phoenix. Lyle entered the United States Navy where he faithfully served as a Navy Seal performing combat duty in Vietnam from June 14, 1966, to November 7, 1969. During this time, he was stationed at Yuska, Japan.

He was united in marriage to Julie A. Shada on December 31, 2000, in Tempe, AZ, where Lyle was employed by Lucent Technologies for 35 years. The couple later moved to Minden, NE in 2017.

Lyle was a member of CWA (Communications Workers of America) and the NRA. He enjoyed building computers and working on electronics. Lyle liked to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks, Nebraska football, and NASCAR, especially, Dale Earnhardt Sr. He loved spending time with his family and dogs, Willow and Lola.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Julie Shada, of Minden; daughters, Rachel (Michael) Pittner of Upland, Nicole Shada Christensen of Minden, Lynn Tomford and Debra Walters; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Harding of IL, Louise Coglianese of AZ, and Margo (Slawek) Piotrowski of CA; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph Coglianese; and brother-in-law, William Harding.
