Mary Elane Adams was born on November 20, 1970 in Red Cloud to Ronald G. and Charlotte E. (Banks) Figgins. She grew up in the Edgar area and attended school at Sandy Creek High School, graduating with the class of 1988. During high school, she worked for a road construction crew.

She was united in marriage to Mark L. Adams on July 7, 2004 in Kearney. The couple was blessed with ten children: Heather, Sarah, Derek, Bryce, Dustin, Brady, Ben, Kynsie, Braylee and Payton. The family made their home in the Holstein area, where she was employed for many years at the Red Cloud, Blue Hill and Kenesaw nursing homes.

Mary enjoyed gardening, canning, attending auctions, shopping online and watching crime shows. She spent a lot of time crafting and making candles, even opening a candle store with her mom in Red Cloud. Mary loved being outside working on the farm and tending to her many "pets". She loved all the farm animals they had through the years: dogs, cattle, horses, chickens, pigs, goats and ducks. Mary loved her gnome collection and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Cindy. Most of all though, she loved spending time with her family and tormenting Mark.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mark Adams of Holstein; children, Heather Wenzel, Sarah Adams, Derek (Samantha) Peters, Bryce Adams, Dustin Peters, Ben Adams (Jazlyn Castaneda), Kynsie Adams, Braylee Adams, and Payton Adams; grandchildren, Skylar Conover, Alyssia Woodward, Madalynn Peters, and Baby Jax Adams (on the way); mother, Charlotte Figgins; siblings, Debbra (Gene) Staggs, Rick Figgins, and Ruth (Terry) Williams; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Figgins, and son, Brady Adams.
