Pamula Mary Schmidt, 77 of Campbell, NE passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at CHI Health-Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral Mass services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Campbell, NE. The Very Rev. James Schrader will officiate along with Rev. James Benton, Rev. Jonathan Haschke and Rev. Valerian Bartek. Interment will follow the Mass at the Upland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Campbell. Craig funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pamula was born on April 13, 1940 in Campbell, NE to Merwin and Mary (Sullivan) Jameson. She grew up in the Upland area where she received her schooling and graduated from Upland High School.
She was united in marriage to Joseph N. Schmidt on August 20, 1966 in Minden. The couple was blessed with five children: Tammy, Tim, Todd, Trent, and Travis. The family made their home in Minden where Pam worked for Mason's Market. They later moved to Campbell where she provided daycare for various teachers and residents. She also worked at the Campbell Nursing Home.
Pam was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and St. Anne Altar Society. Her children were her pride and joy. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities and programs, family gatherings and simply visiting over coffee. She often put everyone else's needs before her own. She loved to dance and jumped at the opportunity to do so. She was also a beautiful singer. Pam found great joy in babysitting her grandchildren and enjoyed every minute spent with them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Joe Schmidt of Campbell; sons, Tim Schmidt and wife Amy of Minden, Todd Schmidt of Campbell and Trent Schmidt and wife Mindy of Roseland; daughter, Tammy Eifert and husband Mike of Kearney; grandchildren, Trevor, Tyson, Tanner, Tucker, Sylvia, Turner, Emma, Sophie, Bella and Mason; brothers, Gary Jameson and special friend Rita Michka of Hastings and Burdette and wife Gwen Jameson of Upland as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Travis Michael Schmidt.
