Patricia's Obituary
Patricia Ann Boldt, 80 years of age, of Upland, passed away July 19, 2017. She was born Patricia Ann Doran, August 13, 1936 in Chambers, Nebraska to Ann Elizabeth Schmeits and Patrick Harrison Doran and was the oldest of six siblings. Patricia received her primary education at the Spalding Academy Catholic School in Spalding, Nebraska. After high school she began teaching school in Akron, Nebraska. Following this, she moved to California to continue teaching at a Catholic school and a year later, moved back to northeast Nebraska where she met Delwyn Arthur Boldt. On April 23, 1960 Patricia Ann Doran was united in marriage to Delwyn Arthur Boldt. They raised five children; Renee Ann, Douglas Joseph, Terrance Daniel, Janelle Diane, and Cheryl Marie. Pat became a stay at home mother until their children had entered high school. She then worked for a veterinarian for many years near Norman. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed many years of teaching Catechism. Pat enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid Nebraska Volleyball fan and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed being an Avon representative for 38 years. Her greatest joys were chocolate, cooking, reading, spending time with her children, watching her grandchildren grow and attending many of their activities, bird-watching, and traveling. She and Del were devoted members of St. Anne Catholic Church in Campbell and St. John Catholic Church in Minden.
Pat is survived by her husband, Delwyn Boldt, who passed away nine days later at KU Medical Center in Kanas City; her children, Renee and husband Craig Grams of Upland, their children Benjamin, Nicholas, Christopher and fiancé Brielle, and Elizabeth; Douglas and wife Jamie of Upland, their children Alyssa and husband Russell Walton and son Carter, Amanda, and Ashton; Terry and wife Lori of Bolivia, NC, their children Jackson, Lucas, Elizabeth, and Patrick; Janelle and husband Dean Moburg, of Leavenworth, KS and children Jason, Andy, Samantha, Zachary, and McKenzie; Cheryl and husband Rhett Richardson, of Barnwell, SC, their children Boldt and Rebecca; sisters Georgia Koenig and husband Bill of Yankton, SD, Mary Timblin and husband Virgil of Bee, NE, Sandy Sullivan of Burlington, WA; brothers Larry Harsin of Minden, Tom Doran and wife Donna of California; brothers-in-law LaVaughn Boldt, Robert Boldt and wife Karen of Norfolk, NE; sisters-in-law Brenda Boldt of Norfolk; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and brothers-in-law Jack Sullivan, Donald Boldt, Lewis Boldt, Marlen Boldt, sister-in-law Arlyce Boldt, and nephew Tommy Sullivan.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 6th from 4-7 pm at St. Anne Catholic Church in Campbell, NE with Rosary to follow. Funeral services will be August 7th at 11 am in Minden at St. John Catholic Church with lunch to follow and graveside services at the Upland Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Layton Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial may be sent to St. Anne Memorial Fund in Campbell, NE.
