Randal "Randy" Wolfe, 76, of Minden, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Bethany Home in Minden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Minden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peter Choi officiating. Private family interment will be held prior to services at the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Memorials in Randy's honor are kindly suggested to the Minden United Methodist Church. Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Randy was born on November 21, 1942 in Minden, NE to William C. and Greta L. (Ecklor) Wolfe. He grew up and attended school in Minden and graduated from Minden High School with the class of 1961. During high school, Randy enjoyed the many friendships made through FFA. While growing up, he helped with his family's grocery store in Minden. Randy later worked for the City of Minden for many years.
Randy enjoyed helping with the Minden American Legion Baseball games at the concession stand. He contributed the funds to build the current concession stand at the legion field. He also enjoyed doing yard work, hunting and fishing with his father and following Nebraska Football.
He was a member of the Minden United Methodist Church and was an honorary member of the Minden American Legion Post #94 Baseball Team. Randy loved life and he especially enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Pioneer Village.
Those left to cherish his memory include close friends, Jim and Judy Buss of Gibbon, Carol and Jeff Loschen of Hildreth, Dave and Jane Craig of Minden, Sheryl Parish of Omaha, Cindy Bunger, Gary Martin, and Larry and Karen Wilcox all of Minden, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
