Roger "Moosie" A. Bienhoff, 77, of Minden, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025 at CHI Health – Nebraska Heart Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden with Rev. Donald Hunzeker and PMA Julie Schmidt officiating. The service will be streamed to the church's YouTube page. Interment will be held following the service at the Minden Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Roger Bienhoff Memorial Fund for future designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.
Roger "Moosie" Alan Bienhoff was born on March 14, 1948 in Minden to Alfred H. and Dorothy M. (Ebke) Bienhoff. He grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School in 1966. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy for 3 ½ years.
On July 6, 1973, he was united in marriage to Glenda S. Kile and to this union two sons were born: Tyran and Todd. The family made their home in Minden where he farmed for F & K Farms until retiring at age 65.
He enjoyed fishing and golfing with friends. Moosie could often be found watching Husker football, the Kansas City Royals, baseball, or golf. He was a member of the Minden Country Club, Minden American Legion, and Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden. Moosie would have breakfast with the boys every Thursday morning and spent a lot of time driving around checking on all of the neighbors. His favorite time of the year was always harvest. Roger loved watching his sons and grandkids play sports and will be remembered for his sense of humor and the kindness he showed to all.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Glenda, sons; Tyran (Megan) Bienhoff and Todd (fiancé Kelly Sheen) Bienhoff, grandchildren; Keitan (boyfriend Drew) and Hartleigh Bienhoff, Gavin, Grayson, and Madison Sheen, Merissa (Dylan) Jensen, Clayton (fiancé Madison) Weaver, great-grandchildren; Cooper and Raelynn Jensen, brother, Randy (Brenda) Bienhoff, sister-in-law, Kathy Bienhoff, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Dorothy Beinhoff; sister, Jeanette Johnson, and brother, Rick Bienhoff.
