Roger also enjoyed time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Dean (Carolyn) Hansen of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Marilyn Hansen of Kearney; nephews, Brett Hansen of Kearney, and Brad (Mary) Hansen of Fredericksburg, VA; nieces, Chrisanna Hansen of Lincoln, Emily (Dustin) Cotter and children: Stella, Silas, Addelyn, and Zoey, of Fremont; great-nieces, Michelle (Anthony) Wonder and son: Codey Axtell of Axtell, and Jennie Hansen and children: Tristan, Ariel, and Faith; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.
