Sandra K. Hein, 83, of Minden, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Bethany Home in Minden. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials in Sandra's honor are kindly suggested to the Kearney Area Animal Shelter. Craig Funeral Home in Minden is assisting the family with these arrangements.

Sandra Kay Hein was born on November 19, 1940 in Minden, NE to Raymond A. and Gladys I. (Wells) Bjorklund. She grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School with the class of 1958. She furthered her education and later obtained her nursing degree.

Sandra was united in marriage to Alan L. Hein on March 17, 1962 in Council Bluffs, IA, and to this union, two son's were born: Lee and Brian. The family made their home in Council Bluffs where Sandra was employed at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She also resided in Houston, TX, and Laguna Hills, CA before moving back to Minden.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Lee Hein of Cleburne, TX, and Brian Hein of Laguna Hills, CA; grandchildren, Piper, Alex, Belle, and Sam; sister-in-law, Janelle Sanders; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her husband, Alan in 2003.
