Shannon R. Schmidt Ramos, 45, of Minden, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at her home in Minden, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with the Rev. Evan Winter officiating. The service will be live-streamed to the funeral home's Facebook page. Inurnment will be held following the service at the Minden Cemetery. There will be no visitation as the family has honored Shannon's wish for cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Shannon Ramos Benefit Fund at the Minden Exchange Bank. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Shannon Renee Schmidt Ramos was born on August 21, 1976, in San Clemente, CA to Stanley "Steve" and Cynthia "Diane" (Divel) Schmidt. She grew up in the San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano areas. The family then relocated to Kearney, NE. She attended Kearney High School and Central Community College, where she obtained a degree in Nursing.

On May 12, 2000, Shannon was united in marriage to Lawrence "Kip" T. Ramos, Jr. in San Juan Capistrano and to this union, three children were born: Steven Thomas, Natalie Marie, and Clarissa Diane. The family made their home in Minden where Shannon was employed by Good Samaritan Hospital and Scentsy. She also lived in Laguna Niguel, CA prior to moving to Minden.

Shannon was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Kearney, St. John's Catholic Church in Minden, and The Mission San Juan Capistrano. She was a well-respected Nurse and touched countless lives through her service in the medical field – especially in Pediatrics. Shannon also was a devoted Scentsy Dealer, earning many awards for her sales achievements, including a recent European Cruise, where she and Kip were able to tour the Vatican.

Above everything else, Shannon's love for her family was paramount. She enjoyed supporting her children in all their activities, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Shannon was affectionately called "Tida" by many of her family members. She had a love of all things Disney and enjoyed making several trips with her family to Disneyland.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kip Ramos and children, Steven Natalie, and Clarissa, all of Minden; mother, Diane Schmidt of Kearney; sister, Danielle (Randy) Pracht of Norman; brother, Bill (Laurie) Schmidt of Grand Island; nieces and nephews, Rhiannon Pracht, Rylee Lester, Tristan Head, Preston Pracht, Ava Pracht, and Sterling Pracht; as well as a host of extended family, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Schmidt, and her "bonus dad", Bob Mabe.
