Obituary

Sherryl Ann (Space) Swartz, 74, of Minden passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Kearney County Health Services in Minden. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Minden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Blanchard officiating. Interment will take place prior to services at the Minden Cemetery. Memorial book signing with the family present will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Sherryl was born on January 21, 1943 in rural Upland, NE to Leland and Ruby (Rundquist) Space. She graduated from Upland High School with the class of 1960 and later moved to Minden. She was united in marriage to Richard L. Swartz on March 15, 1964. The couple lived in Minden where Sherryl was employed at Bethany Home in the Kitchen and was also a Medical Assistant. She also did housekeeping for several people around the area.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Swartz; daughter, Jodi Swartz; son, Michael Swartz and Fiancé Karen Sanders; grandchildren Chasity and Tyler Anderson, Shaylea Swartz and Zachary Swartz; step-granddaughter, Abbie Sanders; great-grandchildren, Lexie and Kason Anderson, all of Minden; sister, Roma Anderson of Minden; brothers, Royce Space of Sanger, TX, Don Space of Minden and Gayle Space of Imperial, NE, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Darrel Space and niece, Vicki Space.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
