Stan M. Hansen, 84, of Minden, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Bethany Home in Minden. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hildreth with Rev. Caroline Schenk officiating. The service will be streamed to the church’s YouTube page. Private family inurnment will be held prior to services at the Keene Cemetery. A memorial book signing with family present will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Memorials in Stan’s honor are kindly suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Stanley “Stan” Martin Hansen was born on February 6, 1942, in Minden to Jens and Bertha (Quadhamer) Hansen. He grew up in Hildreth and attended Hildreth Public School, graduating from Hildreth High School. Following graduation, Stan farmed in the Ragan and Wilcox area for over 35 years. In 1992, he began working as a seed corn salesman selling Fontanelle and later AgVenture before retiring in 2025.

He was united in marriage to Darlene Rodenbaugh Harper, and to this union five children were born: Janna, Jodi, Julie, Melissa and Kert. The family lived around the Ragan area, before settling in Wilcox. The marriage later ended in divorce. Stan was remarried for over 40 years during which time they lived in Minden, that marriage ended in divorce after his illness.

Stan enjoyed golfing, socializing at the country club, working in the yard, snowmobiling and traveling. He was a member of the National Corn Growers Association Board, Wilcox Lions Club, and the Wilcox Co-Op Board, where he served as President for many years. Stan enjoyed playing Men’s Fast Pitch Softball. He also followed the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals; as well as the Nebraska Huskers, especially the baseball and softball teams. In his spare time, Stan enjoyed working as a ringman for Marshall Auction Company.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Janna (Brad) Tripe of Alma, Jodi (Brian) Maaske of Loomis, Julie (Kenny) Klottor of Sedona, AZ, Melissa Johnsen of Loomis, and Kert (Jenny) Hansen of Wilcox; grandchildren, Brianne (Justin), Brook (Troy), Terah (Jerome), Trevor, Casey, Lance, Cami, Alexandra (Alex), Sydnie (Ryan), Kinley, and Kolby; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Colson, Kimberli, Nicklin, Taryn, Sydney, Harper, Teagan, Bailey, Scarlette, Reddik, Cadence, Ethan, and James; sisters, Gladys Johnson of Holdrege, Mary Jane Jensen of Omaha, Carol Jean Abramson of Kearney, Elizabeth (Gary) Johnsen of Stapleton, Rose (Don) Gillespie of Globe, AZ; brother, Harold Hansen of Wood River; and brother-in-law, Bob Berlie of Holdrege; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Tori Maaske; grandson, Curt Klottor; siblings, Ingward (Mary) Hansen, Dorothy (Grant) Johnson, Marvin (Marian) Hansen, Henry Hansen, Viola (Faye) Spors, Edna (Leroy) Anderson, Lily Ann Berlie, Minnie (Charles) Hendrickson, Raymond Hansen; brothers-in-law, Maynard Johnson and Don Jensen.
