Tom was born to Jim and Kay Meisenbach on July 11, 1957. He attended Minden schools and graduated from Minden High School in 1975.

After a brief stint at Central Community College, Tom returned to Minden to farm alongside his dad. Tom farmed in Kearney County for nearly 50 years. Along with farming, Tom raised cattle which he especially enjoyed.

Tom felt a strong commitment to service in his community. He was a member and former president of the Minden Optimist Club and the local chapter of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association. He also served on the board of the Farm Services Agency.

Tom volunteered at the Kearney County Fair for 40 years, serving in various capacities within the livestock program. He enjoyed supporting and encouraging young 4-H'ers.

Tom was also a referee for Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball in the region for 37 years. Combining his passion for sports and working with young adults. Many people will remember Tom's sense of humor on the court.

Tom's faith was very important to him. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minden, NE and regularly attended mass at both Holy Family Catholic Church in Heartwell, NE and St. Anne's Catholic Church in Campbell, NE. A recent highlight for Tom was a trip to the Vatican for Andrew Schwenka's elevation to Deacon.

It's impossible to condense someone's life in a few short lines, especially someone like Tom. He made friends everywhere he went and made everyone he met laugh. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Kay, his sister, Barb Davies and brother-in-law Mike Korth. He is survived by his brother Terry and husband Andrew Ferber of Palm Springs, CA; sisters Jean Korth of Hastings, NE, Julie Runcie and husband Craig of Beatrice, NE and Patti Lyons and husband George of Doylestown, PA; brother-in-law Ken Davies of Pheonix, AZ. Tom was the beloved uncle to ten nieces and nephews and seventeen great nieces and nephews. They will miss his love and constant teasing.
