Virginia "Ginny" M. Swartz, 88, of Minden, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Bethany Home in Minden. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden with Rev. Donald Hunzeker and PMA Julie Schmidt. Inurnment will be held following services at the Minden Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials in Virginia's honor are kindly suggested to Bethany Home in Minden or to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.

Virginia May Swartz was born on September 28, 1936, in Duluth, MN to Herbert and Catherine (Lathrop) Spindler. She grew up in the Duluth area and attended school at Denfeld High School.

She was united in marriage to Boyd O. Swartz on September 26, 1959, in Duluth and to this union three children were born: Lynette M., Pamela M. and Michael W. The family made their home in Duluth. Ginny moved to Minden in 1991 to join her husband, Boyd. Ginny worked as a nanny for her brother's family, and worked at K-Mart, Target, and at JJ's City Café in Minden.

Ginny was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden and the Lions Club. She enjoyed researching genealogy, bowling, cribbage or any card game.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Lynette (Swartz) Trease and husband, Richard of Omaha, and Pamela (Swartz) Cody of Minden; son, Michael Swartz and wife, Pam of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren, Jeremiah Hickman, Matthew Hickman, Dustin Swartz, Adriane McPhail, Brian Cody, and Jessica Chavez; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wes Spindler; sister, Susan Spindler; as well as a host of extended relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd; granddaughter, Nicole Trease; son-in-law, Marvin Cody; brother, Kerry Spindler; sister, Georgia Spindler; and brother-in-law, Warren Dale Fitzgerald.
