William "Bill" Bell, 79 years of age from Minden, NE passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Kearney County Health Services-LTC in Minden. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Craig Funeral Home in Minden at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Donald Hunzeker officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4-6 p.m.

Bill was born on March 6, 1937 in Santa Clara, CA to Harvey "Hap" and Ruth (Walline) Bell. Bill graduated from Minden High School. On December 16, 1955 he married Ruby M. Livingston. They made their home in Minden. Bill worked for Royal Plastics in Minden for many years. In the mid-80's Bill started his own electrical business known as Bell's Electric. He owned and operated that business until a stroke forced him into retirement.

Bill was an avid outdoorsmen. He and Ruby enjoyed their time at the lake and spent many hours on the boat where Ruby would read and Bill would fish, it worked out great for both of them. Bill loved being around his family and a lot of the time revolved around the outdoors. They loved to hunt together and process their game together. His constant companion was his dog "Red".

Bill was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden and spent many years as a member of the Minden Volunteer Fire Department. Memorials are suggested to the Minden Vol. Fire Dept. or the LTC unit of Kearney County Health services.

Survivors include two sons, Doug Bell and wife, Karen of Bradshaw and Michael Bell and wife, Cricket of Gibbon; daughter, Cathy Staggs and husband, Bobby of Farmington, Arkansas; nephew, Robert C. Bell and wife, Rose of Hillsboro, OR; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Link Bell and wife, Pat of Colorado Springs, CO and Jim Bell and wife, Ruth of Houston, TX and sister, Carolyn Olson and husband, Don of Colorado Springs. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, brothers, Robert and Roger and granddaughter, Suzie "Q" Bell.
